CTP-Textile mainly focused on the capacity building of the textile processing sector of Pakistan for compliance with the national and
international environmental standards. The motto was to make textile processing mills environment friendly.
The project was aimed to:
1. Create awareness about the key environmental issues, health and safety concerns and environmental legislation.
2. Improve the process efficiency and resource conservation.
3. Help in enhancing work force productivity due to healthier and efficient work environment.
4. Conduct environmental audits and preparation of Environmental action plans to implement CTs for at source pollution abatement..
5. Prepare detailed design for implementation of wastewater treatment plants.
6. Assist Textile Processing Mills to implemented Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and get Eco-label certifications.
