City-wide Partnership for Sustainable Water Use and Water Stewardship in SMEs in Lahore, Pakistan (WSP) was EU funded project under SWITCH Asia. WSP was executed by the World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-P), World Wide Fund for Nature-United Kingdom (WWF-UK) and Cleaner Production Institute (CPI). The project focused towards the SMEs, with the overall objective as.

“By the year 2025 water efficient production and consumption predominates as best practice in Pakistan’s major industrial cities as part of broad engagement of businesses in water management, contributing to improved environmental sustainability and poverty reduction within the context of sustainable development.”

CPI conducted following activities under WSP:

1. Conduct water audits in 35 SMEs of textile, paper, sugar and leather.
2. Provide training to the industrial professionals on water auditing and water management
3. Facilitate industries to implement best Water Management Practices (BWMPs).
4. Prepare business cases of water management
